Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing technology architecture and delivering technically strong strategic recommendations to the Board that are aligned with VLC’s principles,
• Work closely with the incubator manager, Inventors, startups, Peer Review Committees and inter-department resources to identify, develop and source new commercialization opportunities.
• Partner with the business unit and R&D to continue to evolve and develop the technology roadmaps aligned with the business strategy
• In charge of expanding and strengthening the VLC’s network in the innovation hub/tech startup acceleration sphere.
• Self starter ability and team player who are both technically sound and good at managing relationships
• Stay informed on emerging technologies/industry trends and advise the CEO and the Board on development strategy from a technical and innovation point of view as well as apply them into operations and activities
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Master degree in Computer science, IT or related field; Ph.D. is an advantage
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the IT or related fields
• Deep expertise in technology and digital innovation
• Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to analyze customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
• Mental toughness and abilities to perform well in a new and challenging job
• Proficiency in English both spoken and written
• Great interpersonal and good communication skills
• An entrepreneurial spirit
• Experience in business development or consulting field is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’ s investment strategy
• Closely work with accelerator manager to source and develop opportunities to test and scale promising start-ups
• Critically screen investment opportunities through impact lens including the proposed innovation’ evidence base, social and economical impact and ability of scale
• Undertake impact analysis of startups proposal for funding and detailed due diligence
• Take part in investment committee and play the key role in investment and divestment decision making
• Support startup founders with advice and coaching on fundraising, especially on preparing pitch report
• Responsible for deal origination, proactive sourcing, market studies & research
• Manage investment portfolio of the company
• Develop and maintain relationship with all investors including angel investor, venture capitals and investment funds
• Proactively work with other executive managers as well as senior partners to negotiate investment terms and MOU (Memorandum of Understanding)
• Undertake fund raising and fund control aligned with business plan of the company
• Organize, prepare for and lead meetings with current and prospect fund managers to discuss investment opportunities
• Proactively conduct financial market research and regularly update financial developments to the Board and investment committee
• Write manager research reports for distribution to external clients and internal Investment Committee
• Participate in various meetings including weekly research and monthly Investment Committee
• Work on ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum BA/MA in corporate finance, investment, economics, or other relevant discipline. Experiences in global contexts will be highly preferred
• At least 10 years at high-level management position in investment sector such as investment banking, fund management.
• Experience working with startups or Broad knowledge of start-ups,
• Solid experiences & knowledges in fund-raising.
• High energy and entrepreneurial mindset
• Self-motivated and excited by innovation ecosystem and high growth startup community
• Excellent communication skill both English & Vietnamese.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills for interaction with colleagues, superiors, and external investment partners.
